Loved the band, hated the venue
After a recent show at the Macon City Auditorium, I took to Facebook to express my disappointment. Despite my love for the Broncho Band and their wonderful performance, the deteriorating quality of the venue has left me frustrated. Living in middle GA my whole life, I have attended many shows at the Auditorium. However, the last two experiences have been less than ideal. It's not the artists that are the problem, but rather the venue itself. I have purchased tickets for the back row in the balcony to have the freedom to sit or stand and dance without bothering others. Yet, during the past two shows, I have been confronted for dancing behind my seat. I make sure not to obstruct any fire code regulations, so the treatment was unwarranted. Adding to the frustration, the venue informed me of a 30-minute time change for the performance start, only to have it delayed even further. The show began at 8:40pm, but by 10pm, concessions were closed, leaving many patrons without the option to purchase even a non-alcoholic beverage. This lack of consideration is unacceptable. Macon City Auditorium, please do better for the benefit of both yourselves and our city.
